Vítor Costa is currently a Laboratory Technician at the International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory (INL), working within the Piteira Research Group. His research focuses on the characterisation of gas-sensing systems and the development of calibration protocols for the measurement of dissolved gases in insulation oil samples.

In 2020, Vítor Costa enrolled in a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry at the University of Minho. Throughout his undergraduate studies, he had the opportunity to improve his knowledge in the five main areas of chemistry and biology, as well as to put into practice various laboratory activities. After completing his Biochemistry degree in 2023, he enrolled in a Master's in Chemical Analysis and Characterisation Techniques at the University of Minho, where he had the opportunity to develop his master's dissertation at INL, developing a project focused on gas diffusion.
