Ana Sofia is Project Assistant at the Salomé Research Group at INL, supporting procurement, resource management, and project coordination in applications related to nanofabrication, optoelectronics and energy.

With 7 years of experience executing R&D projects co-financed by Portugal 2020, Ana Sofia has worked with world-leading biotechnology and cork companies, collaborating with over 70 professionals across multidisciplinary teams. Her strong communication skills are reflected in published scientific articles, presentations at international conferences and internal meetings, where she simplifies complex technical information for diverse audiences. Her project management proficiency was demonstrated during the CORKPLUS project, where she efficiently managed resources and deadlines despite unforeseen challenges.

Ana Sofia holds a PhD in Biotechnology, specializing in food science and engineering, which honed her research, critical analysis and organizational skills. She also volunteers for Fala-me Neuro, where she creates content, engages in public science communication and contributes to podcast production, showcasing her passion for outreach and dissemination.
