Maria Teresa Alameda
Postdoctoral Researcher

María Teresa Alameda Felgueiras is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory (INL). Her work focuses on the nutritional characterisation and safety assessment of cultured meat within the EU Horizon Europe project FEASTS, contributing to the generation of scientific evidence for emerging food technologies. Her research addresses key aspects related to food safety, sustainability, and consumer protection, and is characterised by a strongly interdisciplinary approach integrating biomaterials, bioengineering, and advanced in vitro models.
She holds a PhD in Biology from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, together with a Master’s degree in Genetics and Cellular Biology and a Bachelor’s degree in Biology. Her academic training provides a solid foundation in cell biology, microbiology, biomaterials, and nanotechnology, with expertise in micro- and nanostructured biointerfaces, 3D bioprinting, and advanced analytical and imaging techniques, supporting research with clear societal impact and relevance for industrial and biomedical applications.
